About CUAC

Credit Union Acceptance Company, LLC is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) founded in 1998 by eight Houston based credit unions: Cy-Fair FCU, Energy Capital CU, Houston FCU, Houston Municipal Employees FCU, Member Source CU, PrimeWay™ FCU, Shell Employees FCU and USE CU. CUNA Mutual is also an owner. CUAC was formed to represent credit unions in the indirect finance market. Designed for Credit Unions by Credit Unions, CUAC currently services more than 58 credit unions with more than 1.2 million members in six states that include Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas.

CUAC benefits participating credit unions in the form of auto loan portfolio growth and provides a one-stop car-buying service for credit union members. The program’s benefits include simple implementation, quick loan approval or declination, one central processing facility and a complete member marketing initiative to a large group of CUAC certified auto dealerships.

CUAC realizes the success of the program is based on credit union and dealership training and education. Therefore, as an implementation of the program, CUAC trains credit union and dealer staff members on how to utilize the program effectively.
